ABOUT US
 
We
are probably the most experienced and longest running
Japanese
importerin
Australia. We have been established for over 30
years, 25 years at our current premises.
The
managing director of Ichiban has spent most of his
life in and around cars, having worked for a national
enginereconditioner
for 9 years before starting his own business in 1975.
He commenced importing from Japan in 1977.
He
has also spent many years in the motorsports scene
having raced everything from a rotary powered 120Y
and Monza sports sedan to a Falcon touring car in
which he also ran 4 Bathurst 1000 races.
Our
sales manager also has a wealth of knowledge, being a
qualified mechanic and auto electrician. He currently
runs his own drift car and is a regular at club drift
days.

Asked Questions
What
comes with an engine ?
We
sell our engines complete with any accessoriesthat
they arrive with from Japan. These items may be
different to the ones on "Australian" vehicles and
are
not covered by warranty. They are left on the
enginesfor
testing purposes.
Warranty
?
Most
enginesare
sold with warranty (with the exception of rotaries).
Usually, warranty is :
- 3
months, unlimited kilometres.
Threre
are some exceptions. Check before you buy.
Our
usual warranty covers parts only unless a "labour"
warranty is purchased. Warranty is voided if the
engine is overheated, run without oil or mistreated.
Any defective unit must be returned to us, as it was
run in the vehicle, before a claim can be considered.

Freight
?
We
can arrange to ship your engine anywhere in the
world and, because of the quantities we ship, we get
an excellent deal! We will be happy to get you a
price on freight when you contact us.
Payment
?
Payment
can be made to us by Visa, MasterCard, Electronic
Transfer, Money order, Cheque (conditions apply) and
we even take cash, however, we cannot ship C.O.D.
Once we confirm your payment, goods can often be
shipped the same day.
